Meet Your Instructors

Kathy Glaser (E-RYT 500)

Lead Instructor

Kathy Glaser, is an experienced wellness and education professional whose journey spans from the classrooms of Kentucky to yoga studios and military bases around the world. Originally from Kentucky, Kathy holds a degree in Elementary Education and began her professional life as a schoolteacher, teaching in Germany and Kentucky.

The military assigned her spouse William a new job, they moved to Savannah, GA, where her career path took a dynamic turn.  Kathy learned to play golf and was offered a job as a Marketing Director for a prominent golf course management company based in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The next duty station was Fort Leavenworth, KS where Kathy transported her career with her to continue with a prestigious golf course management company in Kansas City. 

In addition to her corporate experience, Kathy owns and operates  Wandering Ashram Organizing and is a professional organizer, specializing in feng shui and energetic alignment for both homes and businesses. She has a particular passion for working with neurodiverse clients, helping them establish harmony, routine and a sense of ease in their homes and businesses. 

Kathy is also the founder and owner of Wandering Ashram Yoga & Meditation School, established in 2016. The school 

offers 200- and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programs and is rooted in the principles of Kripalu Yoga. Kathy’s teachings emphasize meditation, mindfulness, pranayama, contemporary yoga and Ayurveda, and she is known for her trauma-informed and adaptive approach, serving diverse populations with compassion. Her vibrant and inclusive teaching style infuses practical wisdom with a heartfelt sense of humor.  

A military spouse for over 30 years, Kathy has dedicated her life to caring for soldiers and their families. Her work includes the development of an Army wellness teacher training program in Germany that empowers active-duty soldiers to lead physical training for their units. She has also volunteered with Veteran’s organizations, Wounded Warriors, and the USO, sharing yoga and wellness practices at various centers around the globe.

The name Wandering Ashram reflects Kathy’s global lifestyle—she founded the school in Wiesbaden, Germany as she taught from her home, and any space she could secure.  Taking her yoga teachings with her on each new military assignment. Kathy continues to carry her business with her, offering a consistent sanctuary of wellness wherever she goes. 

In addition to her professional pursuits, Kathy is a mother to 3 amazing kids, 2 cats and a hound dog.  With over 20 years of personal yoga practice and more than 15 years of teaching experience, Kathy remains committed to nurturing balance, mindfulness, and healing in every space she enters.

Wandering Ashram Yoga & Meditation School, RYS 200 & RYS 300 has certified teachers that now teach across the globe. Makkenzze (RYT 200)

Supporting Instructor

Makkenzze is a dedicated RYT 200 yoga instructor who completed her training in April 2024. She brings a balanced teaching style that blends strength, stillness, and thoughtful sequencing, creating a welcoming space for all students. Drawing on her background in learning and development, Makkenzze is passionate about empowering new teachers with the confidence, practical skills, and authentic presence needed to thrive in their yoga journey.

With a heart-centered approach, she fosters a supportive environment that encourages growth, self-discovery, and mindful connection—helping students and trainees build a strong foundation for a lifelong practice.
